Vista Alegre Museum
The Vista Alegre Museum aims to show the history and development of porcelain production, performed over the course of nearly 200 years of manufacture.The first Museum of 1947 was installed in the Palace, next to the chapel of the Vista Alegre.
From the very beginning the most prestigious parts were collected, and, nowadays exposes his important museological heritage composed of more than 30 000 pieces.
Some buildings were revalued and restored, the nursery was one of them, currently it is a cultural centre which aims to promote the link between manufactures and visitors, creating learning opportunities, in particular through the ceramic painting or shaping the paste.
You can also visit the chapel of our Lady of France, a national monument since 1910.Possibility to acquire porcelain in stores attached, or simply, a visit to the living memory of the small “village” of Vista Alegre.
Praia da Costa Nova
Praia da Costa Nova is one of the most striking images of the Portuguese beaches, with their colorful “Palheiros”, colorful painted stripes seaside houses and that provides a beautiful contrast.Which, initially, were no more than warehouses to store tools of fishing activity.
